Star Wars Storyboard

Storyboard idea I created about a year ago. It's a story concept for a possible opening scene for Star Wars Episode 7.

Here's the Screenplay:

Star Wars Episode VII Opening Scene

EXT. SPACE

Roll “Star Wars” text crawl.

“It has been over 20 years since the destruction of the Death Star and the fall of the Galactic Empire. The Rebel forces have since established the New Republic.

Jedi Master Luke Skywalker has restored the Jedi Order, training new Jedi Knights, including his own son as well as the children of Princess Leia and Han Solo. The Jedi have resumed their former role as peace keepers of the galaxy.

Although the Sith were thought to be destroyed with the death of the Sith Emperor, dark disturbances in the force are beginning to emerge. A new threat waits from the ancient Sith planet of Korriban.”

Descend slowly from text to the planet KORRIBAN. A small Sith ship flies from behind the camera towards the planet.

EXT. PLANET KORRIBAN - Sunset

The ship enters the atmosphere and flies above the ground towards a large, ruined Sith temple. The planet has a rocky/desert geography varying in grey, brown, and orange colors. On the ground are ruins of ancient statues of Sith lords. The ship lands in front of the temple.

DARTH SIREN, a female Twi'lek Sith exits the ship. She has red skin and various black tribal tattoos, but instead of hair she has two long tentacles coming out of the back of her head. She’s wearing a black cloak and two lightsaber hilts at her waist. She walks towards the temple.

INT. SITH TEMPLE

DARTH TARGUS watches Darth Siren enter the temple from a high window, but his appearance isn’t shown. Darth Siren enters the room of Darth Targus. Darth Targus is a tall, human, male Sith also wearing a black cloak. He is standing at the large window watching the sun set. Darth Siren approaches him and kneels down in front of him.

DARTH TARGUS

Are we ready, Darth Siren?

DARTH SIREN

Yes Lord Targus.

DARTH TARGUS

Good. Soon we will take control of

the new Republic and restore the

Sith Empire to it’s rightful place.

DARTH SIREN

What of the Jedi, my Lord? Master

Skywalker has become powerful.

And he continues to train more

Jedi.

Darth Targus turns around and faces Darth Siren. His face is deathly pale, with scars on the left side of his face. His eyes are yellow with dark shadows around them. He steps toward Darth Siren. He reaches forth his hand and begins to choke Darth Siren with the force, lifting her body off the ground. She gasps for air, clutching at her neck.

DARTH TARGUS

(in a cold, deeper voice)

Do you doubt the power of the dark

side?

Darth Targus tightens his grip. Darth Siren faces turns from a look of helplessness to a look of rage. She reaches forward and force blasts Darth Targus, knocking both of them back on opposite ends of the room.

Darth Siren is on the floor gasping for air. She hears the sound of a lightsaber turning on and looks up. Darth Targus is jumping through the air with his red lightsaber over his head descending down upon her. She wields her dual red lightsabers and blocks his attack. They’re standing face to face, each pressing against the other with their lightsabers, with the red glow illuminating their faces. Darth Siren kicks Darth Targus back away from her. Darth Targus regains his composure and sees Darth Siren running towards him swinging her lightsabers in an acrobatic motion. He isn’t phased by this, but rather stands still holding his lightsaber at his side. Just as she lunges towards him, Darth Targus deals a powerful counter blow that knocks Darth Siren back. She quickly gets up.

They continue fighting around the room. Darth Siren fights with a very acrobatic form similar to martial artists. Darth Targus’s form has less showmanship but uses simple yet powerful attacks, like a medieval knight. Darth Targus shoots lightning from his fingertips, shocking Darth Siren and throwing her against the wall. She falls to the floor. Laying down, she looks up to see Darth Targus with his lightsaber inches from her face.

DARTH TARGUS

(slightly amused)

I see your fighting skills have

improved. But you still have much to

learn, my young apprentice.

DARTH SIREN

(in a slightly frightened and anguished voice)

Yes...master.

Darth Targus steps back and puts away his lightsaber.

DARTH TARGUS

We will do what the Sith have always

done with the Jedi.

Darth Targus walks towards the door. Darth Siren stands up and follows. They walk down a dark corridor towards the other side of the temple. They step outside onto a deck. Before them is a legion of Sith with several star ships hovering in the air with fighter ships flying around them. Darth Targus looks over them with a look of menacing pride. He turns to Darth Siren.

DARTH TARGUS

We will have our revenge and destroy

the Jedi.
